Introduction
Creating an Accessible Ontario — New Regulation that impacts on home care and community support service providers and your customer service!
Ontario's first accessibility standard on customer service became law on January 1, 2008 and the Ontario Community Support Association has worked hard to help agencies easily comply with its requirements by 2012.
OCSA in partnership with the Accessibility Directorate has provided you with the resources you will need—leading practices through policies, practices and procedures templates, tips and tools kit, and this Webspace. A permanent addition to the OCSA Website, it will be a repository for all of the resources we have created for you, including the training PowerPoint used in the training sessions we delivered around the province to assist you to achieve compliance.
Also. visit www.AccessON.ca for more information about the Accessibility For Ontarians With Disabilities Act (AODA) and accessibility standards.
Please visit here often as the Webspace will be updated regularly as new information about this project or new resources from the Accessibility Directorate of Ontario become available.
