Welcome

Community Care Information Management (CCIM) plays an integral role in improving the health care system by enhancing access to information for community-based care providers to deliver the right health service, at the right time. CCIM comprises two distinct project streams – Assessment Projects and Business Systems.

The Assessment Projects are equipping health care providers with tools that can facilitate the collection and use of client information and result in an assessment system that improves the quality of client care.

Business Systems is now focusing on implementing the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) project to help organizations in the Community Support Services (CSS), Community Mental Health and Addictions (CMH&A) and Small and Complex Continuing Care Hospital sectors streamline their back-office business processes.

On March 31, 2011, Business Systems completed the Management Information Systems/Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards (MIS/OHRS) project in the Community Care sector. MIS/OHRS establishes the framework that defines the standards for collecting financial and statistical data.

Together the two projects help achieve an integrated, cost-effective and efficient health care system that provides timely access to services, performance metrics and enhanced accountability
