  • "Community Support Services: The Key to Sustainable Health Care in Ontario."
    OCSA makes the case for well-funded, well-planned home care and community support to help people in Ontario maintain or regain their health at home. Key issues, facts, stats and recommendations for action are all in the report.
  • Impact of the CCAC funding restraints, Fall 2001
    In September, OCSA asked member agencies to provide an update regarding the impact the CCAC funding constraints were having on clients, staff, and their agencies. Here is the compilation of responses received. This document has been shared with the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care and the Health Care Programs Division of the Ministry. Helen Johns, the Associate Minister of MOHLTC responsible for the CCAC review and Act, has also been forwarded a copy for her information.
         We are now asking OCSA member agencies to provide another impact update to cover the last few months. We want to share the updated impact
    statements with the Ontario Gvernment in early December 2001.
  • "Building a High Performance Home and Community Care System in Ontario."  A  position paper written jointly with the Ontario Home Health Care Providers Association (OHHCPA), It includes 4 key recommendations to make the home and community care system more efficient  and effective.
  • OCSA's "Top 10 Facts About Home Care" has now been distributed by the Ontario Community Newspaper Association (OCNA) to its 265 member papers - March 2001
  • Home Care Worker Compensation - A paper developed jointly by Ontraio Community Support Association (OCSA) and the Ontario Home Health Care Providers Association (OHHCPA).  The paper examines the disparity in health worker compensation between the home and community care sector and the institutional sectors - November 2000.
