The framework categorizes services and supports in four sections:
- supporting seniors at all stages,
- supporting seniors living independently in the community,
- seniors requiring enhanced supports at home and in their communities, and
- seniors requiring intensive supports.
The plan concludes with some important discussion questions relating to health human resources capacity and staffing – OCSA looks forward to participating in this crucial and timely conversation.
OCSA applauds the government’s focus on supporting seniors across every stage of life and enabling them to live independently in their own communities. As work continues on this plan, OCSA looks forward to collaborating with both our not-for-profit member organizations and the government to achieve our shared goal of ensuring seniors have the important services and supports they need to live independent, healthy, active, safe and socially connected lives.
