Call for Digital Poster Abstracts

Deadline to Submit Abstracts: June 5, 2024

Are you involved in an exciting project, research, or innovation related to home and community care?

If so, we invite you to submit an abstract to showcase your work in the Digital Poster Exhibition at CommunityConnect 2024!


This year, we have a new format. Your digital poster will be featured across three different platforms, including a Quickfire presentation. You no longer have to print physical posters.


What are we looking for?

We welcome posters on a range of topics relevant to home and community care, including but not limited to:


  • Research (completed or in progress)
  • An innovation, leading practice or model of care

1 Poster - 3 Platforms

Introducing a new poster exhibition format to maximize the exposure of innovative work in the home and community care sector.

Quickfire Digital Poster Sessions

New this year, posters will be featured directly in the October 24th conference program. Presenters will have 5-7 minutes during dedicated breakout sessions to showcase their work, followed by a Q+A session, with an audience of approximately 60-75 delegates per session

Conference App Showcase

Over 400 CommunityConnect delegates will be able to view your digital posters directly on their phones. If you choose, attendees can also communicate with you through the app for any follow-up discussion or questions.

Virtual Poster Exhibition

After the conference, virtual posters will be promoted to a provincial audience through OCSA’s research division, the Elevate Impact Hub. Last year, over 500 people viewed the virtual poster exhibition in the months following the conference.

Details and Guidelines

  • The digital poster sessions will be held on October 24th, 2024, at the Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre & Spa.


  • Poster presenters must register for the full conference. We are pleased to offer a discounted rate of $399.00. Please note that only one presenter per poster is eligible for this discounted rate. Poster presenters who register for the full conference can also take advantage of OCSA’s special block room rate at the Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites.


  • Digital Posters will be selected based on the following criteria:
  • relevance and value to home and community care leaders
  • originality
  • clarity
  • impact


  • Poster presenters must be available to present their digital posters in a workshop breakout session on October 24th during the conference program (times TBD).


  • Poster presenters are strictly prohibited from marketing products, services, software, or any other commercial ventures. 



  • Poster presenters warrant that their poster is their own original work, that they are the sole copyright holder or that they have obtained all necessary permissions or licenses from any persons or organizations whose material is included or used in their digital poster.


  • Organizations may submit multiple poster abstracts for consideration. However, to ensure maximize participation please note that in the event of a high volume of submissions, we may need to limit the acceptance to one poster per organization.
