Leading Without Authority - Change Happens at the Speed of Connection

Session Description

Today's healthcare leaders are navigating complex governance and cross-organizational relationships. As Ontario continues to build a more connected, integrated, and person-centred system of care, success increasingly depends on the ability to build trust, align diverse partners, and lead through relationships rather than hierarchy.

Drawing on the International Foundation for Integrated Care's 9 Pillars of Integrated Care, this session explores practical approaches to leading across organizational boundaries and navigating the complexity of collaborative governance. Participants will examine how trust, shared purpose, and human-centred leadership can strengthen partnerships, improve decision-making, and accelerate meaningful system transformation.

Designed for leaders, managers, and emerging leaders within Ontario’s home and community care sector, including those involved in or partnering with Ontario Health Teams (OHTs). This session is particularly relevant for individuals navigating collaborative governance and systems leadership within community-based organizations.
