Steve Sherrer, M.A.Ed. CEO Thrive Group.  

Steve has worked in the health and social service sector for over thirty five years, holding progressive senior leadership positions. He is currently the CEO of Thrive Group organizations, providing strategic oversight and leadership to AbleLiving Services, St. Peter’s Residence at Chedoke, Idlewyld Manor and Capability Support Services, located in the Golden Horseshoe Region of Ontario. Thrive Group supports over 3,000 clients/residents on a daily basis through a range of in-home services and 17 supported housing, assisted living and long-term care sites. Steve is an inspirational and visionary leader, known for his ability to mobilize community efforts in order to successfully influence transformational change in the health care sector. During the span of his career he has been instrumental in developing and leading innovative services and programs that have had a positive impact in the areas of youth justice, mental health, unemployment, poverty, housing, seniors’ health and long-term care. He is also actively involved on several Boards and committees including membership on several Ontario Health Teams, Patient Flow Committees and Quality Tables. Steve holds a Master of Arts degree in Education and specialist certification in Leadership Development and Human Resources Management​
