Prior to her role at VON, she held a dual role of Vice-President, Strategic Communications at William Osler Health System and Vice President Marketing and Communications for Osler’s Foundation. She currently sits on the Board of The Rekai Centres, a non-profit charitable corporation that owns and operates Long-Term Care Homes. Previously, Val served as Vice Chair of The Scarborough Hospital Board during its merger with The Rouge Valley Health System, and was part of the inaugural Board of what is now Scarborough Health Network.
