Tanya Elliott is currently Vice President, Ontario and National Executive Lead for Health with the Canadian Red Cross. The organization delivers expertise, solutions and services focused in two fields of work: emergencies and health. She has been actively involved in the evolution and growth of Red Cross's community support services for more than a decade, including an integration initiative resulting in the creation of a separate entity to deliver nursing, therapy and personal support services in Ontario. Most recently Tanya’s efforts have been focused on creating the space and opportunity for innovation and collective impact approaches in community health through collaboration with partners in academia, community, and health and social sectors. Tanya also led the organization’s response to COVID-19 in Ontario, which included the management of isolation sites, support to infection prevention and control and resident care in long-term care homes, and support to the province’s vaccination strategy.  She is experienced in programming that builds capacity within diverse communities including First Nations. Tanya is passionate about strengthening the position of the community support sector and its role and voice in the future of health care.
